I like the concept of the newer, high efficiency, low heat output, light weight computerized chargers. I don't like a charger that's so smart it says "That battery is discharged, so I refuse to charge it".
Every year or two, I lug my 10lb Schumacher over to the neighbor's house to jump-start his nice smart charger with the digital display (my old fashioned transformer charger raises the voltage to the point that the new-fangled charger is willing to turn itself on). If you just want reliable, and don't mind what it weighs or how efficient it is, and want to do a five minute boost to start a dead car... https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/schumacher-battery-charger-100-15-2-se-2151ma/9200015-P (I wouldn't buy from Advance without at least a $20 off coupon, but then it wouldn't be expensive enough for free shipping, so I'd have to buy something else because they don't stock that charger in stores...) Or, once I got that expensive I'd make the step up to one of the heavy duty $100 chargers on wheels, you sometimes see them for $70-80 at Sears on Black Friday, only 3 months away...
