That's it in a nutshell. I am not a big fan of the 4.. Don't like the 3 speed AT and the early corrugated MB Tex that seems downright coarse and pedestrian. The W109 300SE L 3.5 from 1971 with leather and burlwood is basically the same car but with air suspension, a luxurious interior and 4 speed trans. Makes all the difference in the world.
