Howes makes a product to make gelled fuel flowable, but it is rarely available. I'd trust it before any other bottled product, but I trust #1 fuel, or even gasoline more. Generally you see the Howes Diesel Treet, but not the other stuff.

Emulsifiers like Diesel 9-1-1 can help, temporarily, by mixing the water in with the fuel and helping it get through the filters so that it can slowly kill the common rail engines instead of stalling them with ice.

The supplement is not in a bottle, it is #1 fuel, or K1 at at least 50%.

That's my point! Works great when it is 114 outside.... not well at all at 13ºF! You need to mix your own fuel before you condemn car or batteries.

ok, but WHAT is in the fuel tank? I'm still betting on summer fuel for 100 to 120ºF.

Exactly my problem in the 83 300TD. I guess a working block heater would
help.
