Pull off the cord and check it with ohmmeter. Most of the time the cord
is bad or gets pulled off the heater. You can buy a new cord. Much
easier than changing the heater and antifreeze.

The OEM block heater on my 1983 300TD no longer works. Is it worth
diagnosing/repairing? Or simpler to just replace it? Are they a Mercedes
part? Anyone BTDT?
YOU HAVE SPENT 6 WEEKS WHINING ON THE LIST ABOUT THIS. YOU HAVE REFUSED
TO TAKE THE ADVISE YOU ASKED FOR.
Now, you tell me who's the schmuck!!!

Don't be a schmuck - the cord isn't sold separately.
