Pull off the cord and check it with ohmmeter. Most of the time the cord is bad or gets pulled off the heater. You can buy a new cord. Much easier than changing the heater and antifreeze.

The OEM block heater on my 1983 300TD no longer works. Is it worth diagnosing/repairing? Or simpler to just replace it? Are they a Mercedes part? Anyone BTDT?

YOU HAVE SPENT 6 WEEKS WHINING ON THE LIST ABOUT THIS. YOU HAVE REFUSED TO TAKE THE ADVISE YOU ASKED FOR.
