I have never liked the new Prastik caps. On Allen I switched the newfangled cap for the old metal one. This one leaks oil bad. Somebody said I should flip the gasket over, because the one side gets a compression, but the other side will not have the issue. I gave that a try, but the gasket had turned into a solid, and came out in chunks. SO now I have the new cap on until I can find a new seal.
New cap has these thin seals, while the old metal one has a wider seal.
