I have a laser cutter and was thinking one day about how it would be fairl=
y easy to cut things like that out of a sheet of gasket material if I had a=
file of some sort. It would likely work to scan it (might need a largish s=
canner for something bigger than a legal paper size) then generate the outl=
ines with some processing in Inkscape.=20

I have an old 126 shifter surround with the window switch holes and all, I =
might have a go at that as I think it will fit on my scanner and I could cu=
t some plywood and hardwood veneer to make another one.=20

If you could get the U-channel (use a gasket for an OM617?) then cut to le=
ngth and super glue the ends together, I'm sure that would work.
