Heard on financial news today: Apfel plans to quit using intel/wintel
chips by 2020. I had hoped that this meant they might adopt some AMD
processors. That is not to be. Apfel put out the word that they plan
to design their own. To my interpretation, that is not a good choice.
Even with the power of Motorola behind their original processors, they
sometimes had trouble keeping up with intel/AMD.
