There should NEVER be a sudden increase in power. The power should be
smooth and continuous. If it's not, SOMETHING is wrong. Usually it's
ALDA adjustment, but sometimes the pressure line from the intake
manifold to the ALDA clogs or the overboost safety and EGR monitoring
circuitry limits power especially if the EGR system isn't working properly.
