Yes.

They’re called upon to make things cheap because there are people in the market 
who will always buy the least expensive item no matter what the quality.  If 
that wasn’t the case, there’s no justification for their business model.

It’s easy for them to cut corners in some areas, such as rubber parts, and 
still sell them at a profit.  Granted, if it’s a dealer part you’ve got a lot 
of overhead coupled with that part that won’t go away.  Many of those costs 
don’t exist for third party suppliers, but if they can cut corners elsewhere, 
such as in labor or material costs, they’ll do it and take the profits it 
provides.
