Their 14-cup model has been around forever, is recommended by America's Test Kitchen, and has been using mostly compatible bowls, lids, and blades for many decades. The current model is made in China, but most agree that the production from Japan is better quality than the new one. I have recently found 3 of these on CL (one for me and one each for my 2 sons) for about $70-80 each.

IF they had one, it would cost $60. The whole machine was $160 three years ago. It seems that they come out with new models every year, and discontinue parts about when the warranty expires.
