I have actually used my spares on many many occasions. The only time I needed AAA, was when I found that I did not have the proper lug wrench in the car. Somehow a 19mm got into the roll.
I do see a few pristine spares living in the trunk at PnP every so often. It is rare enough, that I keep reminding myself that it would take a very long time for me to find a full set worth. Thus, the pristine spares remain at PnP. I do not understand why the prep boys do not remove these things when they decide to save the road worn rims for retail. I would purchase five wheels instead of only four, given the opportunity. clay 1974 450sl - Frosch - Two tone green 1986 SDL - Polei 1982 300 SD - Allen retired models- 2002 s430 - Victor, a Stately & well tailored crap 1976 300D - Blei Vanst - it looks silvery 1972 220D - Gump - She was green, simple and ran 1995 E300D - Gave her life to save me against a Dame in a SUV POS 1987 SDL - Beware Nigerian Scammers > On May 12, 2018, at 1:24 PM, Curt Raymond via Mercedes > <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > > I think I've used the spare maybe 4 or 5 times in 25 years of driving.
