There is a nice little tool you might find useful. It is basically a piece of flat stock with two bends in it. The lower bend has a "round hole with one side cut out" so it will slip around the spark plug just above the hex nut portion, below the wire boot. Then a long flat, followed by a bend in opposite direction, which forms a "handle" you can get a grip on much better than trying to pull on the wire boot.
When you pull on the wire boot, it acts like a Chinese handcuff and actually tightens it's grip on the plug.. When you pull on the tool... it "pushes" on the bottom of the plug cuff which unseats the plug wire boot from the bottom and breaks it loose. They are a cheap tool... but you to look / ask for them....Give it a try. Also, I use a dab of silicone grease on the edge of the spark plug boot. It keeps the boot from "welding" it's self to the plug. The kind I use is swimming pool supply stuff... Hasn't failed me yet.
