Hello listers.
I found a guy selling a 1978 240D 4spd manny tranny, tan ext with tan int.
It's got some vacuum issues going on (don't they all), but it runs and
drives ok. It won't shut off, it has a hard brake pedal, and probably not
much else vacuum operated that's working properly. He's looking to clear IT
along with some other cars and parts from his yard, so I figure it's worth a
try. He was going to list it for $1000 on CL, but this seems a bit high for
one as he describes this one to be, "nothing pretty, a car you don't give to
a girl to drive around." It may be worth $500 or so, especially if it'll
drive away under its own power. If he and I can agree on a price, I may
have a RUNNING diesel Mercedes in my driveway once again!
