I think so but in my case the shaft was all chewed up and would not have locked in to turn a new pulley.

warning though as it started making noise for a while before it sheared off 
completely. Basically what happened in my case was I could hear a rattling 
noise and the charge light could come on at low rpm, like the shaft key or 
whatever broke off and with higher rpm it would turn the alternator fast enough 
to charge but would slip on the shaft at lower rpm.

Luckily I was close to my friend’s where Max and I have our Benz bits stored in 
her barn so I rang her and she came and collected me and gave me a ride home. 
Soon to hook up the trailer and go drag the thing home. Bah.
