Hah! As far as I'm concerned, the only "Liquid Nails" are what come out of my Millermatic 175 welder! And no, don't use them there. I echo what was said earlier. Put hood vertical and cover the engine and fenders with a sheet, scrape/vacuum off the loose crud, spray it and the new pad with 3M Super Trim Adhesive and apply before it fully sets up so you can reposition it a bit as necessary. A scaffold built over the engine compartment out of ladders and planks can be helpful. -- Jim
