You put whatever springs in you want then adjust the ride height to where
you want it. My w124 is lowered a bit with stock shocks in it. I even found
some OE sportline hydraulic shocks to throw in when I put the new driveline
and v8 subframe in, which sounds similar to what this guy did. The interior
looks pretty clean.
