I did the water pump on the $500E300, I took out the radiator to have some room to work.  had to take the fan off too.  It wasn't a terribly bad job, just annoying to have to take out other stuff to get to the WP, which it turned out was OK, it was that stupid alternator clutch pulley.  Replaced the hoses while I had the radiator out, figured it was reasonable to do that too.  Was good, because the top one had a long tear in it I couldn't see about ready to let go.

And this would be on my 1998 wagon, so there’s a fan and fan clutch involved.
