In my climate we use Mobil1 15W-50 at 5000 mile intervals. Some would say that’s too soon, but an oil change is cheap insurance and I don’t mind the expense. I’m not so hung up on oil that I would bother pulling samples and messing with a lab.
Since my climate isn’t much different from yours as far as temperature (not humidity) I would consider the same for your car. Check Wally World for the 5 quart jugs, they’re usually around $25/each.
