The guy came back at me with $1100, he wants it gone soon.  It would cost maybe $500 to get it towed to where I want it, I don't want to fool with getting it running right now.  I could get a big container for $1600 so not a good deal just from a storage aspect.  I sent him back $800 offer, that could work.

He's got this one for sale too, it's clapped out too https://charleston.craigslist.org/cto/d/charleston-2000-gmc-box-truck/6881998105.html

hahaha maybe I should offer $1500 for both of them?

All in all a great truck, hard to kill, but a bit like driving a 220D. They still run them in SA and Africa.   Put it on copart an watch the nigerian kings bid.

Wonder if it can get running (and would stop)?  Looks like tires have air in them.

Offer $800?  From a quick googling it looks like these are fairly common and parts are likely easy to get.

Is it BaTworthy? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1979-mercedes-benz-l-1116-om352-a-turbo-diesel/

here's one running and outfitted sold for $1800 https://www.proxibid.com/1980-Mercedes-L-1116-S1/lotInformation/38664184
