I am watching this movie called black sea or something like that.
These guys get this old submarine to go out and try to find gold off a
wrecked Nazi sub. There is an explosion in the engine room and they
hit the ocean floor. They say it blew out the drive shaft. They then
find the Nazi sub and pull the drive shaft from it. Except what they
pulled was a crank shaft. Then then install said crank shaft in their
sub and they start it up. They show this crank shaft rotating with
nothing hooked up to it, as in no rods or pistons. Anyway, you would
think that would be something easy to be accurate on.
The morons who write scripts these days are so stupid they don't know

The really sad thing is that of the hundreds on the crew, not one knew
what a crankshaft is, and they are all so smug in their "enlightenment"
not one could even ask kookgle what is a driveshaft? That is; assuming
there were real actors, and a real crew, and it was not a CGA movie.
