There is some rust through in the very front of the rockers where they face the wheel well. Inside of the rockers is fine, jack points are good. I just need to seal up the opening to prevent future corrosion, that’s all.
I’ll fog the inside of the rockers with something like bar oil or a rust preventative then cover the opening with a patch using seam sealer to seal it up good and tight. -D > On Jun 24, 2019, at 8:24 AM, Dimitri Seretakis via Mercedes > <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > > I commend you on your tenacity for doing the heavy suspension work! > So tell me about the “minor” rust repair. > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Jun 23, 2019, at 9:51 PM, Craig via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> >> wrote: >> >> On Sun, 23 Jun 2019 21:48:05 -0400 Dan Penoff via Mercedes >> <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: >> >>> So here’s what I have left that I can think of: >>> >>> Remove, refinish and install wood trim on left side door cards. >>> >>> Replace firewall material and rodentally masticated wiring harness >>> braid/jacket in engine compartment >>> >>> Minor rust repair at the leading edge of both rocker panels. >>> >>> And that’s it! >> >> Congratulations! >> >> You are closing in on the end; it must feel good ... >> >> >> Craig >> >> _______________________________________ >> http://www.okiebenz.com >> >> To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ >> >> To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: >> http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com >> > > > _______________________________________ > http://www.okiebenz.com > > To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ > > To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: > http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com > _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
