I left the test light in place while I was processing the picture and writing the email and doing some other things (about half an hour), so I would say it stays active forever. Plus, when I bought the car, the guy selling it would get it started by jumping it, but after running it and charging the battery, a while later it needed another jump. It's now time for dinner, so I don't have time to measure the draw.
