They are both. Originally the "square" Bosch lights were fitted only to the 280s (and maybe the lesser model coupes?), but starting in about 1983, the the "round" Hella lights were dropped completely and all 123s were equipped with the Bosch lights. The Bosch lights are at least theoretically superior as they have a larger reflector area, but the Hellas do project a better fog beam.
