It’s behind a fence that sticks out next to my garage and in front of the window. There’s maybe a gap of 6”-8” between the fence post and the wall of the house that you can see it through, otherwise it’s completely invisible from the street. I have shrubbery that masks the gap.
When our new management company did their first community inspections in December of last year I didn’t have the shrubbery growing as high as it is now, and they gave me sort of a “grin, grin, wink wink” comment about it. As it’s out of sight now, it’s no longer an issue. I figured if they wanted to push the issue I would just get some fencing panels and cover up the gap with them if necessary. I would rather have a mini-split anyway, as I could get something bigger than the 8k-10k BTU the window unit is and be able to cool it down a lot faster. I’m sure it would be more efficient as well. And it’s not a window unit, so the compressor and condenser would be at ground level. -D > On Jul 23, 2019, at 1:51 PM, Mitch Haley via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > wrote: > > Can you block the street view with shrubbery without ruining the air flow? > >> On July 23, 2019 at 1:46 PM Dan Penoff via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> >> wrote: >> >> >> That was the next choice had I not been able to find a decently sized window >> unit.
