It’s behind a fence that sticks out next to my garage and in front of the 
window. There’s maybe a gap of 6”-8” between the fence post and the wall of the 
house that you can see it through, otherwise it’s completely invisible from the 
street. I have shrubbery that masks the gap.

When our new management company did their first community inspections in 
December of last year I didn’t have the shrubbery growing as high as it is now, 
and they gave me sort of a “grin, grin, wink wink” comment about it. As it’s 
out of sight now, it’s no longer an issue. I figured if they wanted to push the 
issue I would just get some fencing panels and cover up the gap with them if 
necessary.

I would rather have a mini-split anyway, as I could get something bigger than 
the 8k-10k BTU the window unit is and be able to cool it down a lot faster. I’m 
sure it would be more efficient as well. And it’s not a window unit, so the 
compressor and condenser would be at ground level.
