I just saw my ex-BIL on Friday.  He has had Parkinson's disease for several years now and is not doing well.  I had not seen him for maybe 3 years, I was surprised at the decline.  He's been through all the treatments but comes a point where nothing really works anymore.  He was golfing up until a coupla years ago, then got into something called pickle ball, but alas that is now passed.  The physical activity really did help a lot with his movement and balance and such for quite some time.  He is having much harder time getting around even with the drugs and a deep-brain stimulator and almost everything that he has tried, and he just wears out very quickly now.  His cognition is declining now too.  He had to move into an assisted living center a few weeks ago as he was getting to be a bit much to leave at home alone, and for the family to care for.  I think he is maybe 58 or so now.  It is a horrible disease.  I'm not sure how much time he will have left, he has indicated he does not want to get to the point of being a veg and has assessed alternatives to that end.

There is an interesting Art of Manliness podcast with a guy who is using boxing

good interview.
