I know this woman who lived in Colorado for some years. She was out with her
daughter walking the dog in the snow, to go down the road a mile or so to get
the mail. When they came back they saw cougar paw prints right in their boot
prints, it was following and stalking them and was not too far behind. It was
using their prints for “cover.” They could see where it broke off to get off
the road. After that she always carried a weapon whenever they were out like
that.
