I compared the '94 gasser monovalve to the '95 E300 monovalve, and the major difference is that the E300 version has a bypass around the heater core, so the valve is two-way and either feeds coolant to the heater core or bypasses the heater core. Gasser has no bypass, so the valve is simple on-off.
One way to re-engineer would be replace the $450 valve (two-way) with two on-off valves, one on the heater core circuit and one on the bypass circuit, controlled so that either one or the other is open. That would be a bit of work, but less expensive than a new monovalve. ------------- Max Charleston SC _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
