Question. My car is a 78 300D non turbo. How fast are yall comfortable
taking these things up to on the highway? Any point at which you feel

I have had my 300D-T up to about 110 and have taken it up some grades
where it will sit at full load and 9-10psi of boost pressure for 20+
min. Never seen any ill effects, hell the thing doesn’t even get hot.

Here is an original FSM. .7-.8 is what is specced. My car has a K26, not
a Garrett which starts making boost almost right away but lacks the top
end of the T3. The K26 essentially turns into a heat pump at about 1 bar.

and read charts, or realize either the KKK or the garret can make about
45psi in full song. Set the waste gate to 1 bar and quit over thinking
this. Or over think it with a pyrometer and go 1.2 to 1.4

Why would I not follow the FSM? Where are you getting the idea that you
can run a K26 at 45 psi? Are you high? The turbo is a heat pump at 1
bar, I can only imagine how bad it would be at 1.4.

LOL show me a single example of a stock K26 that makes 45psi of boost in
any application. Seems you have gone senile already old man. I’m sure I
could run my car at 1bar but why bother when it feels the same at .7 and
the IAT and EGT are cooler? You can do lots of things in theory but
what’s the use Harry? It’s a daily driver not a race car. I want it to last.
