She just messaged me she got the title signed over to her from someone,
whoever the executor is I guess, now has to launder it through GA to get
it in her name. Whatever. She was asking $2300 no key (which is like
$350 to get a new one from MB) so no idea to know if/how it runs, miles,
the center stack thing, any issues, etc. No way to put the Majik
Computer on it. She said she rode in it before the owner expired and it
was fine, he took care of it. Says it isn't squatting so I guess the
suspension is holding. Not getting any bites in whatever small town she
lives in or wherever the car is, Sparta GA. I think it is like a 4hr
drive from here, I guess it would be a marginally-entertaining road
trip. I'm not sure I want to deal with her on the phone, she doesn't
know much about the car anyway.
$1500? I think we discussed this before but she has now piqued my
interest again. Get a nice driver (if it is in decent shape) and unload
the $600E320 for more than that, come out ahead. I'd need to get the
title over to me, easy enough, and then deal with MB on a key and see
what actual running condition it is in. Something of a crapshoot I
guess, if I believe her on the ride a few months back I guess it might
be OK.
