It still comes in glass bottles? All I've looked at in the stores are in plastic. In any case your method will probably work quite well, unless you don't want to buy a bottle just to find out.

But you cannot aim the light at the bottle and see -- glass absorbs UV --
you have to pour some out and aim the light directly at the liquid.
