I drove one of these in Mpls.-St. Paul while in grad school. To assure it would start every morning I would 1) bring the battery inside to my basement flat, and 2) insert a dipstick heater to keep the oil warm. Eventually my gloves disintegrated from the cumulative exposure to battery acid.
These were great highway cars, averaging 77 mph for long distances between OH and MN. I also appreciated the orthopedic driver's seat which successfully combated fatigue. Otherwise, not particularly collectible. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1960-volvo-pv544-5/?utm_source=dailymail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2020-03-29 _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
