Interesting, remind me where "here" is.
I read the other day that US demand for eggs has gone up some absurd

But in the 2 weeks since that article USDA says prices are coming back

At the "regular" grocery store last Thursday there were only 6 packs of organic 
eggs, no conventional eggs to be had. The co-op had local eggs 2 weeks ago but 
they were $3/dz. Really nice eggs though.

Weird because eggs are in no short supply here.

When you can buy a dozen eggs for $1 I think the economics of raising
your own chickens don't work.
