I beg your pardon? What about the terrible rust problems, perhaps pre-Ford. The endless mechanical grief. That sedan with the oblong taillights was mentioned in CAR as unsaleable in England because of it's terrible design. I suggest you head on down to Barnes & Noble where you can peruse the British car mags and see what they say about the marque in general. The XJ-6 coupe and the E type were famous for rust. I will say that the 3.8 sedan (Inspector Morse model although that car may have been the dreaded 2.4) does have a lot of appeal after someone else has gone bankrupt restoring it. A friend has owned a dark green 3.8 automatic since new and it's still elegant but down at the heels a bit. RLE
