Pacific coast states tax the tar out of fuel. Last I looked, maybe Jim can fact check, the tax on fuel in WA was close to $0.60 or more. Kolifornia must be much worse, and Oregoon kept their fuel priced high, using the excuse they had to pay pump jockeys, as it is illegal (or was prior to WRD) to self pump.
