It's not as bad as you might think... Capt 11 BK.. is a "reorganization bankruptcy" where the BK court holds the creditors at bay while the company catches its collective breath and does a bit of slow pay to creditors.
Unlike a Chapt 7 BK.... where all assets are sold off and company is dissolved, creditors get an assigned by the court parcel of whatever the assets bring at sale.
