I had very good luck once with a hornet nest that had set up inside my truck's receiver hitch. I had no spray, and I needed to use the truck. I found that an acetylene torch with a white flame was the only thing those little bastards could see. They all flew at it on the attack, whipped through the flame, and hit the ground wingless.
