They are in parallel, and if one leaks both will fail. There ought to be a blue line under the hood, that is the seatback locking vacuum source line. Got MityVac? The seatbacks are not hooked to the vacuum reservoir that runs the locks, though both systems are of course fed from the same vacuum pump. -- Jim
