I've got some old Vermont Americans that can drill out a grade 8 bolt, after the bolt laughs at my 20 year old TiN coated Pittsburgs. I don't know if the new ones are better or worse than the set I bought back then. I think I paid around $30 for the 29pc set.
For annealed steel, the HF bits are OK.
