The 61x's use an ordinary socket (as opposed to the 33 > tooth spline "don't mess with this" fitting). Not all of them. My '84 Euro 617.912 uses the splines. Note: I had to modify the Sir Tools spline socket to get it to work right; Sir Tools tools are junk. Craig
