While doing the valves on my 83' 300D I turned it over twice to line up the notches to measure timing chain stretch. My question is, where exactly do you look? I.e. there seems to be a rather wide indicator. The slanted side seems to be about 4, the middle was about 5, the straight edge might have been as far as 7. So what is it running at? I believe I heard I didn't need to worry until about 8?
