If you're going to be cutting old railroad ties much you may want to dedicate a chain and bar to it. I've ruined several chains doing that so now I keep an old chain thats on its last legs just for cutting railroad ties. Theres almost always metal inside and the creosote doesn't do the bar any favors... -Curt Date: Tue, 23 May 2006 06:17:16 -0400 From: "archer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Jacks and jackstands To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-1"; reply-type=original
Thanks, Hendrik. The local building supply has the old railway sleepers for sale occasionally. I can cut them up with a chainsaw. Gerry --------------------------------- How low will we go?
