Yes. I don't know about MB, but I know someone who had a shop "tune" a BMW diesel (for off road use, wink, wink) and they eliminated ALL the emissions control crap. Obviously, this in not in EPA compliance, and could result in fines, etc. if the vehicle is driven on the road. I would suspect there are shops the can tune a Mercedes as well.
