Possibly, depending on what you consider a nightmare. I’ve done it. Not fun and rebuilding all of the cylinders will set you back probably $800 or more, which is a bargain compared to replacing them with new. Figure a day to get them out and a day to install them. It’s nothing that requires a great deal of skill or special tools, but it’s really involved and just takes a lot of time to do.
First generation R129s should be avoided at all costs, in my opinion. They have a collective pile of bad issues you simply don’t want to deal with. Go wit 97 and later and you’re good. -D > On Aug 31, 2021, at 6:32 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes > <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > > "needs hydraulics fixed for top" ... is this a nightmare proposition? > > https://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/d/dayton-1995-mercedes-benz-sl500/7373808936.html > > Allan > _______________________________________ > http://www.okiebenz.com > > To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ > > To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: > http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com > _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
