Thanks for the info, Marshall - with the W124 "Bible" I rec'd from Rusty Thurs - -- its helpful descriptions and diagrams showing the locations of various switches, relays & sensors will help me locate those things you suggest might be causing this problem. ;-)

A shorted pressure sensor (S32/1) a defective temp sensor (B-10/8) or a
defective fan relay (either K-9 or K-10). Maybe other things as well,
but those will do it.
