Your experience with the W115 mirrors mine - I had three of them over the
years. I always put the front end up on stands as high as I could get it to
make it easier to deal with the filter housing. I missed removing the old
o-ring once, put a new one on the housing - and found out that it doesn't
seal that way!
I did prefer the handling/driving of the W115 to the W123 - hard to beat a
good double wishbone front suspension.
