2009. I needed an SUV and a guy at work was selling it. Got a good deal on it 
because it needed new rear wheel bearings. It was very well maintained 
otherwise, he had all the records and always went to the dealer even for stuff 
like tires and wiper blades. It's actually a very nice car,

Looking at the videos the fan replacement doesn't seem much worse than a 
W116/W123. Remove the glove box and a few other panels, there are five screws 
holding the fan in. One is inaccessable and most people advise breaking that 
tab off. To get at it you have to remove about half the dash. But there was one 
video that showed how to unbolt another part, then you can wedge the fan 
housing over enough to get at the last screw.
