So you all recall I did some testing due to car turning over slow. I
had figured it was time for a replacement starter but the 2 year old
battery tested bad, so I replaced it with a new AGM battery. It seemed
to turn over faster the other day but still not as fast as I figure it
should. Starter still drawing about 300 amps. Yesterday the wife left
and it was probably around 20 outside. She said it cycled thru 2
keyless go starts but timed out. Took the button out and used key and
started it. Earlier today with it around 30 outside, she left, and it
turned over very slowly with first cycle before timing out. 2nd cycle
it finally started. I am thinking I am probably going to have to go
ahead with the starter replacement anyway. As mentioned before, I can't
really even see it from above, or below while its on the lift. Looking
at the procedure in WIS it basically appears as if you have to get it up
on the lift, support engine with engine support fixture (which I don't
have), remove engine mount and engine mount arm? This is going to be a
whore of a job. Jono?
