Wells Fargo among other banks offer it as a way to accept/send money securely.
While I’m not keen about using it, some online sellers require it. It did save my *ss when I wanted to buy my last E420 and ACH limits prevented me from doing a wire transfer for the full amount. When I sold the beater ML500 the buyer paid with Zelle. I had the funds verified on deposit in my Wells Fargo account immediately. I was a bit uneasy about it, not having used it before, but it worked fine. I still do very little, if any, electronic transfers using my phone or these apps.
