Understood. However, he’s concerned about the security of his outbuildings, and if he’s reliant on wifi and power goes out, he’s got nothing. It records events and sends alerts. Unless you were streaming video from it constantly the amount of data used would be relatively small. I just checked the data on my wifi connected cameras and it’s less than 500Mb/month, and that’s on ones that see activity all day long.
