The OTHER transmission problem these can have is a radiator (Valeo) that holed between the transmission cooler circuit and the transmission, resulting in water inside the transmission and the destruction of the friction clutches. That is NOT a simple fix! Also, if oil wicked up into the TCM, it will eventually rot the seals on the electrolytic capacitors ruining the TCM.
